Some time back I bought, nice and cheaply, a new Aristo RDC-3 (I do not often buy new locos but I could not resist this one). Although my layout is based on the D&RGW/Rio Grande, I do allow the Beaver Creek Railroad`s freelance line subsection, the Beaver Creek Transportation Company, to appropriate kit that would have never seen Rio Grande Rails.
I finally got around to making the decals for the RDC-3, using the laser printer and special self-adhesive backed silver paper, and it now proudly plies the BCRR rails...
( The silver paper was a little too shiny so I sprayed it with silk varnish. Unfortunately in some light it just now looks grey but usually it closely matches the stainless steel..... I might re-do it and use less varnish)

I've always liked the look of RDCs. Very nicely done.

Thanks boys!
Roly... the ballasting is now glued down, in some places on the layout, with heavy duty waterproof PVA.
It is another one of my tries to ease my combat in the eternal battle with removing the 2 inch hypodermic needles that fall from our, unfortunately attractive, weeping cyprus.
I was getting fed up with hoovering up the needles and, even with a customised vac turbine blade, I was loosing a fair bit of small ballast.
I am very interested in how it deals with frost after a soaking from rain!
