Hi folks,
Some of you might remember me (hopefully for the right reasons!)
I was building a railway and a couple of nastys hit me. First major surgery then seperation.
Well I survived both, but the whole railway had to go, except me 2 Davenports. So now? Im looking for a ......couple of R3 points; its going to be a long haul back.
Condition/make immaterial. Yes I know, rocking horse poo..... but if ya dont ask.......
Cheers
John
Hi John, welcome back. Fear not, while you were "away" Piko bought out a new range of track including some excellent points which they market as R5, but are actually equivelant to the old LGB R3's. Dragon and others stock them and you may be pleasently surprised by the reasonable price.

There are a number of interesting threads re. these points on the forum including an excellent comparison with the LGB versions by Whatlep.

Welcome back - I've got the Europeanised version of the Bachmann Davenport - a great little engine!
As for R3s, LGB ones seem easier to obtain now as well?

Welcome back 2 sheds!

Pleased to hear you are on the mend....

Rails in Sheffield have several Piko points on ebay at the moment, one of them is here:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PIKO-G-GAUGE-...=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item2c5b239638 < Link To http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PIK...mp;hash=item2c5b239638
and you'll get the rest via the "see other items" link. This looks to be an R5 (= LGB R3) to me, though oddly it doesn't actually say that anywhere I could see in the auction.

Another readily-available option is Trainline45, who make both R2 and R3 points (and they're very nice).

Jon.

welcome back, maybe we could start our own cluub, the badboys clude, been there ,got the teashirt(and a bungalow!!)

I have 2 pretty worn R3 points spare since replacing them
1 left 1 right
1 LGB 1 aristo [I think]
they are tatty and in need of TLC
I would sell them for £25 total incl P&P
PM me if you,re interested

And the membership continues to grow put me down............................No really put me down.............................

yes they work but not v reliable, a few chairs missing, and sleepers broken as in pics
the moving parts are loose and probably need resoldering to the sliding bit
beyond my patience
hence the low price
I'll PM details of payment if that doesn't put you off
