R/C "switch" to turn on lights etc...

tramcar trev

all manner of mechanical apparatus...
Perambulating through eBay I came across these;
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Trigger-Switch-Lgniter-pulling-Color-Smoke-for-RC-Car-Airplane-helicopter-Boat/271487027017?_trksid=p2045573.c100033.m2042&_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20131017132637%26meid%3D7260132675894744371%26pid%3D100033%26prg%3D20131017132637%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D271254093554

Looks like a double pole switch, good price too...

I did sent an enquiry as to what exacry it would do and the response was "make smoke and light work". Not sure if that means it will itself smoke....
But a cheap enough way to have control of your rocomotiv/tlam head rights....

Aw Trev, its dead straightforward. I quote :

"The proposal with remote control or above 5 channel with switch channels matched control. Once a remote control switch, number one on the ignition, 2 seconds to shut down. Dial the back to play the second switch, no. 2 on the ignition, 2 seconds to shut down. So cycle. Realize two ignition. If at the same time the ignition, will more root heating wire parallel followed one of the ignition plug as can be
5. The second generation ignition let your plane in the air multiple ignition. Increase entertaining. Also opened fire after the success of the 2 seconds to automatically shut off the power supply mode function."

Somehow I think my DPDT switch epoxied to the side of a cheap servo may be around for a bit yet...

Having said that the principle is a good idea. If I ever had switched extra channels on a Tx I'd have a go.

The 'chinese' English version looks good for dog-fights!!
"air multiple ignition, increase entertaining. Also opened fire .."
Incoming!!!!!!!!! ;) :D ;D ;D

Most of the Chinese descriptions indicate a rudimentary knowledge of the English language. Sometimes comical to read. But consider us trying to write a description in the Chinese language ::)

你的头会不适合您的赢利

Ok I take your point :)

Reminds me of an old Benny Hill sketch where Benny was a bank clerk changing money for a Chinaman.

Chinaman asks "Why less money than last time?"

Benny says "Fluctuations"

Chinaman replies indignantly "And fluck you Europeans too!"

RC SWITCH...DUAL OUTPUT. 2.5 amp max.
Plugs into RC Receiver spare channel (usually a three posn switch (or knob).
Operates lights or whatever needs an on off switch.
Posn 1 on switch (UP) = 1 outlet with posn 2 off
Middle..OFF
Posn 2 on switch = 2nd outlet with posn 1 off.

Each outlet can have a Y lead fitted by you for more than one light. Each light will require a correct value resistor between the outlet AND the light.
Receiver can operate on 4.8v or 6v but correct resistor should be used for each voltage.

I sell them to aero modellers. (and mine are Western (quality) made not Chinese).

A bit like writing numbers to 3 decimal places in Roman numerals

Trev,

Ross's website is here: www.lightingforaeromodellers.co.uk. I got a quick reply with .pdfs (from somebody other than Ross!) when I requested it via the site (using an email to the address you get from there but which I'll let Ross put on here if he wants to). Postage is in line with anything else from the UK; ie not as expensive as getting things from Europe!

Steve

Thanks for the message Ross.....All is as clear as the light of day now....

Would that be the landing light of day, by any chance??
;) :D
I'll leave now!!

PS (at the moment we are still in Europe!)

Well, in theory, but you don't use those pesky Euro thingies, and unlike NL, F or D your postal service doesn't seem to want to pay off the national debt every time one seeks to post something to Australia........
