A bit like the 'rare' brass Pullman luggage racks that are imported by the container load.
I like it for it's goofyness and 'antique' patina. I also appreciate that someone meticulously crafted it out of scrap on a lathe driven like an old treadle Singer for a very basic income.

I think we can agree they in all probability came out of the same sweatshop in the nether regions of SE Asia and of the same design, a 6-4-0. Shades of Roland Emmett there.
Just wish they'd make up their minds on the material content

'Tis the downside of the internet and search engines - sellers are encouraged (by the sales platform that they use be it evilbay or any other) to adopt a 'pebbledash' approach in the top line description of the item.I think we can agree they in all probability came out of the same sweatshop in the nether regions of SE Asia and of the same design, a 6-4-0. We're used to the more obvious ones in G scale - 'Not LGB' being the most common.
There is an element of traditional 'retail fear' in all of this, that if you don't do this, your listing will end up at the back of the queue. A large proportion of the retail world is driven by the fear that someone else is ringing up the till when you aren't.
What is lost in all of this is the fact that the item that is most likely to sell, is the one where the description is the most accurate in respect both of the item and its condition
I once worked for a very small housing developer in the late '80s (possibly early '90s) who was selling quite large, upmarket homes. When sales were slow, all the MD (who was the marketing expert) could do was to apply more superlatives to the sales waffle - which meant that it became even more meaningless waffle.

It's like the Tower of Babel out there. I agree that specific and accurate descriptions and condition are the most useful and make common sense.
Unlike government and corporate websites which are often rabbit warrens of nonsense by design.

Most probably tac. Are you in a hurry? I'm currently getting together stuff for my sales stand at Bressingham in 5 weeks time. I'll keep my eyes peeled. From memory there are at least two variations and two colours - any preference?
