Pricey but cute....

It's tasty ok :thumbup::thumbup:

Shame about the price or I would have bitten his hand off ! I've always had the Otavi railcar on my wish list ever since I saw Paul Towers 009 build article in the 1970's Railway Modeller. In fact, I'm so sad that it even has a reserved slot in the Strassenbahn stock list..... . Mind you, there was no way the real thing was going round an R1.

Very nice, but yes, very rarefied price wise

Is that the prototype for the Ixion On30 model?
http://www.ngtrains.com/Pages/Ixion/Offer/ixion_offers.html

Just about; there were a couple of near identical versions which ran on the old 3'6" Ghan line to Alice through Maree and the other northern parts of the South Australian narrow gauge system. There's an operational one on the Picci Ricci railway which may or may not be the same one; I'm pretty sure that whether or not it is that was the actual prototype Phil Badger used. They're known as "Coffee Pots", see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SdtL...and if so I expect I'll be corrected (Trev?).
