Just wondered if anyone (particularly our German members) had seen any sign of the three or four new packs of steam loco cab crews that Preiser have been promising as new releases? I thought they were due for 2014, but haven't seen any announcement of them actually being available yet.

From the pre-release teasers, it looks like they will give some nice variety if/when they finally come out - euro-style crews are a little thin on the ground, the only ones I know of are the single Preiser pack that's been out for years, the Bachmann UK resin ones and the very nice but rather expensive zinc-cast HSB and RHB ones from Prehm.

Gaugemaster are the importers I think and they are showing 3 new pairs of driver / fireman. All 3 are currently shown as being to "order" rather than being ready to buy. You could try giving them a bell for a release date?

Preiser has not even listed new products for 2015 yet.

Thanks for the links, Peter - the third one looked especially promising until I realised they are all gauge 1 (1:32).

I did what I suppose would have been the sensible thing BEFORE I'd asked the question - and looked on the Preiser site... all the new sets are showing as not yet available, still, but for info these are the ones:

They will give a nice bit of variety once they are actually out!

I doubt it, Gareth, as it looks like Preiser haven't actually released them yet, they must have been pushed back to the 2015 schedule like so much other stuff...... but hopefully someone will notice and post here when they do finally come out! :)

Ah I see. That'll teach me to read the thread properly Jon.

Grootspoor do show them on their website, but probably as a pre-order item. About 2/3rds of the way down the page. They are also show in Manufacturers News section. Nice to a see a bit of variety.
