Playmobil quartz crystals wanted

I am looking for a set of Playmobil quartz crystals please, any colour except orange.

Thanks Cliff, I was just checking if anyone had a 'surplus' before taking the plunge, Unfortunately, Playmobil has £5 p/p which makes it pretty expensive.

How soon do you want them? I'll be putting an order in in the next few weeks and they could go on that - or I have a set spare you can buy and I'll replace them on my next order. Let me know which you prefer.

Hi Gordon
It's not desperate, I will share the p/p with you if that's OK.
Many thanks
Keith
EDIT_ Or I could swap an orange one......... I have 2.

I've got two orange ones, too, Keith, so I guess you have two of the little tank locos.

I usually put in an order large enough for free postage as it includes spare parts from Playmobil sets, for me and other people, so if that's the case, the only p and p would be from me to you.

Spot on Gordon - two tanks.
If it's OK with you then please order me any other colour and I will forward the cost +p/p
Thanks
Keith
EDIT: - Gordon I have just found these on Ebay - thanks to Nodrog, They appear to fit the bill. I assume that the size is standard which means that all I need to do is repaint the top of the holder at a cost of less than £3.50 compared to £10 for the Playmobil ones.

Hi Gordon Thanks, Phil Saint has just suggested the same. I hadn't realised they were interchangeable with other R/C kits.
I have found these on Ebay at less than £3.50 inc p/p.

Possible flaw in my 'cunning plan' to buy crystals from Ebay.:- They are AM. Are Playmobil AM or FM?

Good idea Gordon. I know Walt he attends most of the NW G Scale meets with his huge Playmobil layout.

Those on eBay look longer than the Playmobil ones and maybe thinner.

Mmm, I've taken the plunge and ordered a set.:nail:
I will let you know how I get on with them. The same site is offering 'holders' which look v similar to the Playmobil ones.
Fingers crossed as they are less than £3.50 inc p/p.
BTW Walt has confirmed that the Playmobil ones are AM.

The lack of a "holder" may well explain the apparent difference in size.

The replacement crystals have arrived but they are not an unqualified success. They work BUT despite being a different frequency they operate at the same time as the original ones so there is no benefit.:crying: :crying:

An amusing thing happened though, I checked that they worked in the lounge and afterwards left both locos near the TV. When I switched the TV (Sony CRT) on later the locos which still had their batteries in contact "took off" at a rate of knots!!

Well at least Keith knows that his locos are digital:rolf:

The world's first HD digital.

Keith,
If all else fails read the instructions that came with the Playmobil train.
Remove batteries from the locos before switching of the hand controller.
