I took delivery of some track items today including some PIKO R3 equivalent points. Quite a reasonable price around £39 with GSC discount from Dragon G. Although these are manual points ( electric point motors from LGB or PIKO are easily fitted if required) I will more than likely be using these as sprung points in loops so they can look after themselves!

Not had chance to do much with them yet, but I do notice they incorporate a PECO type over centre spring in the tie bar, I have not noticed any one comment about this?

The spring does not seem to be very strong (compared to the PECO one) I dont see this as a disadvantage though, I would also think that regular attention will be nescessary with WD-40 to keep it working..

I have three of them down, they have only been in place for a few weeks but just one small problem of a sharp edge on the stock rail on one point where the moving rail touches, easily resolved though.
