PIKO BR218

The CFR took delivery of another BR218 this week. After a check over and light weathering yesterday the locomotive went into service today.Whilst doing the check I noticed that the locomotive has been fitted with two traction tyres(one on each bogie) and the wheels are plated. After running in the locomotive hauled 30 container flats without slipping.
Fantastic pictures Casey. That 218 really is the Poodle's Privates! 
Following part of the theme in previous notes, the only bit which looks even remotely "plasticky" to me is the lower light bar in grey. The rest is just lurvely. I have a nasty feeling that were I starting again in G, I would have a considerable amount of Piko kit with more than one 218. Oh, and a fuller wallet!

Light bar looks better in the flesh. We at the CFR have a fleet of 13 218s and 2 216s. They are simply great. Piko rolling stock runs into well over a 100 items. All fitted with metal wheels.
