Does right-clicking on the file offer an "Edit" option?
If it does, select it, and "Resize" is one of the editing options.

I use this one as it will batch your pics, and saves to a folder of your choice.... Also I did a bit of fidlling with these just before I left for my trip around the country so that I could load pics to my travel blog and this one seemed to work well and was glitch free!!!

Imported mine to 7 from XP & seems OK.
Also use IrfanView for initial capturing & resizing then copy to Picture It for making composites.
xat.com jpg optimizer is good for reducing density for posting on forums etc.

The one thing I really miss from XP is the old Scanner and Camera Wizard. Saved all that re-naming hassle as it did it as it downloaded. Not impressed when you loose useful stuff like that.

I couldn't get anything but WIN7 on the 'new' laptop last year. I DON'T like it and am sticking to XP on the other PCs.
Incidentally just over 1yr from purchase the laptop has taken to crashing repeatedly.
Another built-in "benefit" of Win7?

You could also try "PIXresizer" its a free download off the internet.

That is the one I use, it's good but I just wish that it had a 'bulk' resize facility too.

Keith: we have a saying here, beggars cannot be choosers. For a free program, it does things that many programs for money do not do as well.

True, I am not complaining because it does such a good job and, as you say, it's free!
I use another freebie, Media Chance Digital Enhancer, which does amazing things to improve pics. eg If you have taken a pic which is too dark it can reveal features within it which you didn't even realise were there.

I was born in lake woebegone, MN; my pictures are always above average and occasionally perfect, but I will give it a try anyway..
