Perfect weather so I had to run trains. Then it gets better, SWMBO has given permission for a major land grab (sorry garden redevelopment):bigsmile::bigsmile:

First shift the cat!

Darn daffys - they do get in the way. Nice shots - its a war of attrition really - the more I see of live steam, the more I want my own!

I really like your platforms. Have you any details of how you built them please.
Mel,
The platforms were a bit of a cheap risk. The main structure is marine ply and tanalised strip wood, which was given 4 coates of yatching varnish to seal. The surface finnish is car filler which was scribed with the "flag" effect whilst damp. Then two coats of car primmer then the top coat of matt enamel to finnish.

They have been outside for over 12 months and seem to be lasting ok.

The extension sounds like a good addition - I hope (for your sake) there will be plenty of planting opportunities.
Now it's funny you should mention steaming the new baby - it was going to be today BUT I got embroiled with a tin of bitumen paint :impatient: - don't ask!!
Anyhow, I'm hoping for a window of opportunity tomorrow and it should be run in nicely ready for the grand opening of your extension.
That would be impressive - two Raggies and a Leader in steam
