PECO turnouts 45mm gauge

I am planning to rerail my 1;24 scale, g gauge, tramway in the spring.

I will be replacing LGB track with the finer-scale Peco 250 track. I have plenty of plain track but am short of turnouts.

So....if anybody has any 2nd hand Peco turnouts in reasonable and working condition that they want to sell let me know, I will be looking for both LH and RH turnouts, short radius for preference - this is a narrow gauge electric tramway after all, not a model of the CPR mainline!

After the rerailing I will have a lot of old, but reliable LGB track to sell in a number of lots, let me know if you want to make an offer for it

Just so you know, Peco only do 4ft nominal radius points in G.

But you could make your own short radius points with Peco Invidualay track components....

I don't know if the earlier responses have caused you to change your mind but I have a single Peco G45 left hand point that is surplus to requirements. Start a Conversation if you are interested.

All the best

David

David sorry for the long delay in replying, I have been having 'puter problems. If you still have the turnout please let me know - and its price

Do your trams use pick-up skates. Peco pointwork is known to short out on pick-up skates, the plastic frog is shorter than the on the lgb points ad the skate can cover both rails at the frog and cause the short. I know - I had to put a new decoder in my Heidi.

Alan is right on this score, it also occurs on LGB R3 on occasion and I have a couple with little bits insulating tape on to resolve the issue. My PECO points were all self converted to Live Frogs and this resolved the issue, but it is a fair bit of work taking around an hour per point once you get into the swing of it.
