At the completion of our building works I am going to need a crossing of a well used path (paving slab construction- but can change that) Any suggestions on a non trip robust approach. Even better some piccies for inspiration. Many thanks...

Yes.
Don't press the second link :rolf:
It comes from a time, many moons ago, when the GSC site was being set up and there were a few teething problems.

Here's mine.

The infill between the rails is recycled plastic packaging protection strips, which I, errr, recycled....

It was there when I posted the link. Strange, but otherwise I agree, don't press the link.

for mine i made a gap wide enough for the track, dug down 4 inches, filled it with wet cement, pressed the track into it, then leveled it off with cement. then before the level crossing has dried, groove out the flange ways with a screw driver. result, super strong crossing. no problems after six years........

Got mine just bedded in ballast between the lawn and patio never had a problem with it with kids riding bikes over it etc .

There is an "a" at the end for whatever reason, remove it, and alles gut!
