Hello,
I made a big mistake with my computer :swear:(or maybe this damn device hates me...who knows ?) : I deleted the two topics that I started. Can I restore them in a way or in an other ? Thanks.

Chris,

I can see no deleted posts from you, what were they?

The first one was in the "New Members Forum" and the second one in the "General G Scale" section.

By the way, a bit of advice, albeit too late, if you are making a long post and have issues with losing or breaking connection, type in a bit, post it, and then go back and edit and add more.

I know many people who have composed long posts and "crashed" before they could hit the post.

What is strange in this case, if I type into the new post box, and don't hit the post reply button, that text will stay there even if I don't post it and go somewhere else.

No, I've seen situations, sometimes the Internet connection, sometimes the computer keyboard, sometimes something else, where stuff just vanishes... so my suggestion should work around that a bit better.

Computers are remarkably unintelligent and uncaring!

I write any long posting in Word first, then cut and paste into the website.
Other word processors are available...

They are simply a machine that can add one, and take away one - no more and no less :nod::nod: The fact that they can do it quite quickly, repeatedly and without fatigue is what puts them in the forefront of technology.

They cannot 'think' because they cannot reason, nor can they formulate a judgement. Jeremy Clarkson proved this some years ago when presented in America with a 'thinking' robot. His first statement was, 'What do you think of the Doobie Brothers?' The computer / robot could not provide an answer :D:D:D:D:D:D:D
