Greetings all,

I'm slowly getting back into G scale after being away for many years. Main areas of interest are transition era ATSF, and classic German steam. No layout yet, but have gotten my feet wet by putting my modelling skills to work on an LGB 2180s. I appreciate scale accuracy, tho' have found alot of room for improvement with this older engine. I also bought one of the Newqida LGB clone engines, to strip it of it's linkage, hoping I could adapt it to the 2180. After some research, cutting, consternation, trial and error, it now has the Newqida cylinders and linkage, along with the step skid plates, boiler front, and several other details that makes it more to my liking. The weathering was done with oil paint straight from the tube, a couple of flat stiffi-sh brushes, and a rag.
