Not getting any notifications on replies to threads.

I don't think that happens.

You get an indicator on-screen when you're logged in, but I think it's a long time since I got notifications for comments. You get them for personal messages, but not comments, otherwise you'd be inundated with thumbs-up :eek::eek:

If you start a thread, or watch a thread, you can get notifications, I also think email are possible, but you need to check your profile.
 
I get notifications such as "likes, replies. etc." I think it's something I agreed to on here - called Push? My son, who remotely sorts out problems out on my PC, had switched it off but, when I realised that, I managed to switch it back on again (the latter a minor miracle for me!).

Sorry! I should of said i am not getting "email" notifications. I am getting the bell show any notifications at the top of screen. But nothing in my email, yet all the boxes are ticked. Does anyone get emails ??
PS: this might be because i use google chrome as i don't like IE.

Ok have had a look round but cant see any issue that I may be able to resolve. Anyone with a higher pay rate than me see a solution? I have put a Mod request to higher authority for you.
 
I only get email 'copies' of conversations (PM's as we tend to call them)..

I did used to get 'push' notifications. - A small pop-up box on the laptop, but turned them off as it is so slow, it interfered with normal use.

Strange that i get email notifications on other forums. Maybe admin has it turned off. I just changed my email & got an email to confirm i want to do this from this forum. I will have to wait for a reply to see if this worked.

Thanks Phil. Yes got your reply in my normal email. This was using my website email & all seems to be working fine changing to this address. Now my website is my own domain & it forwards all emails to my hotmail account so i have 2 copies.
But, there are quite a few on the forum dont seem to get emails notifications. I wonder if hotmail/IE has a block somewhere down the line or even this forum has a box ticked that shouldn't be. ??

I would very much doubt that your e-mail service is blocking anything (other than spam, phishing, porn etc) and so the 'push' option should work on all e-mail accounts. Personally I turned the push notification off as I spend too much time here have enough hassle with legit e-mails.
