Plans from an old copy of garden railways, and already is in 1:20.3 its for an old box car taken out of service and now used as a staff room, made as usual, for me, from coffee stirers lolly sticks and bass wood. all stuck around estate agent type advertising board.. still to finish the base, windows, roof and staining. more pictures to follow as i progress.

It didn't cost a lot of lolly either....

window frames now in, hope my grandchildren keep up with eating lollies.

Fantastic work Dudley  Amazing what work can be made from coffee stirers

The idea was probably a 'Chichory Tip' from the son of my father ( even more obscure, for those who got Don's last comment )

Making my own stir type sticks from a length of old fencing panel. First I cut on cross cut saw to veering length and then by g clamping a piece of 1" x 1/2" across band saw set to required width I can cut up as many as I like. Store in a small bucket and cut to length as needed. DSC00534.jpg DSC00533.jpg

forgot to show you a finished piece of work

Love the weathering Peter - is it woodstain ?

Its the old original fence-care as used before I cut it up. All I have done to it is to very lightly rub in some very fine oil and then give it a good Wire brushing. As can be seen in the photos where I have only done one half
