New Shorty SW Switcher for 'Gotham Harbor Transfer' layout

This has been on the 'To Do' list for a long while now, its been going together behind the scenes and now its done, its 2 AC railbus trucks, an HLW Mack cab, a USA Mighty Moe hood, and the chassis from a Bachmann bobber caboose that has been stretched.

This was another fun bash, interior cab is scratched with a simple control stand. Its essentially a shorty version of an early SW type switcher and will be a good unit for the confined spaces of my harbor layout.

That's quite neat:thumbup: Are both trucks powered?

Yes, and wired together so they work very well over my R1 frogs and crossings.

Well, in my book, that makes it as good (and useful) as it looks. I like your "marriage" of parts on your creations - always very plausible results.

Nice looking loco, Vic

I assume it has a heavy police influence, as every loco has 'Got 'em' written on the side :laugh::laugh:

Could be worse...on the enginie previous to this one, I had to split the name because of a grill and the results looked like I was advertising pork products....oops!

Excellent bash. Looks muscular and butch, ready to toil in the yard.
With two of the AC trucks (I also use them for things like motorised 'helper' rollingstock for my gradients), your little 'grunt' should pull very well indeed. Did you put any weight inside the hood to give it even more traction?

Nice one Vic ! So behind the scenes you say. Something like the Skunkworks of the
SR-71 Blackbird fame?

hi
i am not a diesel fan but seeing this brilliant kit bash i could be converted were is my scrape box
