If you mean the 'Allegra' set??
The problems were over-hyped, to do with the amount of current drawn.. Meaning you could NOT program the decoder with it in the loco..
If you buy ready chipped, or use the Marklin decoder, than you will not have any problems. - Possibly get the address changed by the supplier??
If you want the analogue set, with a Marlin decoder fitted, then PM me!
Personally, I would not attempt to fit a Massoth decoder to this model again, as the Marklin one is so easy..
NOTE:
There is a 'new generation' (re-engineered) Massoth XLS for this model, but I have no experience of that, only the original 'bodge' that came out.
