Now added to their popular range of motorised chassis for other scales, Ince Loco Works, Wigan have launched a ready-to-run "pug" motorised battery electric chassis for Gauge 3 63.5mm scale. Basic spec is total length 200mm, wheelbase 100mm on 50mm plain steel wheels. Motor is a standard 3 - 7.2 volt type 380 delivering 25 watts via a brass worm reduction gear. Axles are coupled via an industrial-grade 6mm toothed belt running on alloy sprockets and with ball races pressed into the 2mm chassis side plates.
Basic price of the chassis ready-to-run is £80 plus postage and VAT. Options include a protective undertray, end and top plates and a central bogies fitting bracket.
A very versatile chassis with potential uses such as 0-4-0 diesel/steam outline locos, Bo-Bo diesel/electric etc.
