New low loader. IP Engineering kit.

I spent yesterday assembling an IP Engineering low loader kit.  After testing this morning, it was into the paint shop to be turned out in SBLR goods livery.

Next job will be some weathering, and fitting of hold down chains etc - once I`ve worked out how you`d do that to an MG TC! 

I`ve got another IP low loader to build, to take a 1960 Lotus Elite.  Whereas this first one was cut wood, the second is laser cut, so it will be interesting to see how that goes together.

More likely roped rather than chained. The wheels would be chocked back and front and the ropes run around behind the top of the wheels and crossed down to the shackles in the lo-loader

It would have to have been craned on/off though.
That is a v neat looking diesel. :)
 
These days, ratchet-straps are used in the same configuration. Tying the proper tensioning knot (sometime referred to as a "Sow's Lug", or Lorry driver's knot) should be fun in scale. ;) :eek: :happy:
 
Very nice looking car, and the low loader looks smart, too.

Looks like a Bachmann gas-mechanical with Backwoods Miniatures detailing kit and other stuff added? Very nicely done, whatever it is.
 
Yes Tony, it's a Bachmann Davenport with a Backwoods detailing kit.

I need a couple of new small demo locos and that would fit the bill just nicely for a diesel.
Now to find a suitable small steamer.
