You're excited aren't you? We can tell by the camera shakemarshman said:Gave the Shay a trial run today on some test track along the path.It is fitted with phoenix sound & is also rigged up to run on battery power from a trailing truck. Have been a few teething problems. Ran fine in reverse to start with but then cut out when going forward. After awhile ran in both directions but then cut out again. Seems to be a short as lamp does not power up. Tried another loco that arrived this week, a little Davenport & it ran fine in both directions so don't think it is track. May be it draws to much power?
Here is one on the streets of NYC near 11th ave, still using cowboys to ecsort the loco, this was known as Death Avenue, for the amount of folks squished by trains before the High lines were built, Note the Shay has a centered boiler unit.stevedenver said:ditto never seen the NYC shay-very cool thanks
