"Only if it is a door (and red at that)".

Don't you mean "Green Door"?

Or am I the only one to remember that song?

SW
I think green door is a different song Green Door by Jim Lowe, also performed by Shakin Stevens, I want to paint it black Rolling Stones.

Wow, great looking bridge! :)

In August of 1969 I lived only two hours away from the Woodstock concert. I wanted to go, but my parents wouldnt let me..I was 6 months old.

From the film Gigi

A great film. Maurice Chevalier and Cyd Charisse were in it I seem to remember, although I may be wrong on the latter. Maybe Lesley Caron.

You are correct, also Louis Jourdan, made in 1958!

I think she's the same age as me.

It would seem I am 10 years younger, but remember Frankie Vaughan quite well

He was a Leeds lad, contemporary with Helen Shapiro, also from Leeds.

Frankie Vaughan had a hit with The Green Door, in which he asked he question, "What's behind the green door?" He wore a straw hat and carried a walking cane and did a Twelve Toppers style kick, to much screaming from the audience. I notice on Spotify that his recording of the song comes in the classification of Classical!
