The story so far. As most of you probably know my railway is mainly RHB.
So it makes sense to have some means of clearing snow whether real or pretend.

A plow seemed too easy so some thought has gone into the idea of a snowblower came to mind.
I have seen one working on you tube. And so this is my attempt at one.

A pair of spare Malllet bogies, copper sheet & a Schweers & Wall book were all at hand.
Dimensions?????????? Non available, what now?

Have a word with the better half as to wether or not she would be able to blow the drawing in the book could be blown up.So off to work she went & returned with the correct size drawing this being determined by the front drawing and measuring the track spacing.

A certain ammount of LGB "rubber rule "came into play as the wheel sizes are make the bogies ove hang the drawing

Re:My winter project

The sides on the original are timber, so a sheet of 1/16 ply was obtained and 5mm strips of wood cut to replicate the planks. Each panel is a different size so there are about 18/19 planks cut to each

Re:My winter project

My contribution:
(sorry it's normal gauge railway, massive loco snow thing + tender) Photographed in Germany, Rlwy Museum Neustadt/Weinstr.
If I remember correctly, this is a steam plough but the coal is solely used for the wizzy thing. It needs a proper loco to move.
Sorry no lateral shot as simply no space.

Your plough looks awesome, and I find your triple 'steam' axles much better than those bare triple axle above.
From what I've seen on youtube your plough will be ace in snow!! Have you got a template/photo what it will be looking when finished?

youtube:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eLQJSv_Flqs triple 'headed' (rather 'tailed')
