I recently aquired a scratchbuilt 'Monarch' from James (Midwalestokie) via the GSC Sales section. It is battery powered and radio controled. Whilst it is a really suberb loco I just couldnt live with the shade of green it was painted in.

So after some thought, and as the real loco is now in a much brighter green, I decided to give 'Monarch' a repaint into GWR green. The loco was just about completed this morning and I must say I think it is a great improvement.

Yes, I must agree - the new green tranforms it completely- looks really good!

It does look smart!

I quite liked the original "faded Bowaters" livery too.

Thanks for the positive comments.
Happily James (midwalesstokie) also approves of the make-over of his old locomotive.
Perhaps they will now paint the real 'Monarch' to match it as well.
