Not half as one-sided as eBay's terms for sellers. You MUST accept Paypal (an eBay subsidiary). You MUST NOT charge a supplement to cover the excessive costs of accepting Paypal, or even a discount for payment by other means. You WILL be charged commission on the Paypal transaction value of postage too (a cost, not an income item). You CANNOT give negative feedback for buyers, even if they try to evade payment or negotiate a discount after the sale is completed.
What happens if the seller has broken the item or it has been stolen? Shouldn't be a frequent occurrence, I agree, but it's possible, so there has to be a route for the seller to cancel the auction. I would agree that if the seller does this repeatedly, sanctions should be imposed on them. Will eBay do that when they've already got the insertion fee? I doubt it....Chris M said:I didn't realise a seller could pull out once there have been bids - sounds completely wrong to me. Anyone doing this should be banned by Ebay. And you can't give this person negative feedback because there has been no transaction. Not good.
Very nice stock!Must say I'm feeling very happy with Ebay at the moment though. All of this lot - 2 locos and 2 cabooses (cabeese?) for £350. Although quoted as used the wheels and skates say never been run.![]()
