Maxwell gets a tender bash

At some point, Maxwell Hemmnes released their Porter model in two versions. I believe the first version had a wood cab and a wood tender. The second was all metal cab and tender. If someone in this group knows which came first, I would like to know.
Now, onto the reason for this post. I have the all-metal version, but I prefer the wooden look. So I thought I'd try my hand at transforming the tender. I had a veneer skin, about 1/16” thick, and purchased some hardwood paint stirring boards that are 1/8” thick and ripped them down into strips. I intended to make the piece removable and in two pieces.
The skin slides in place, fits snug, and I used “sticky dots” to hold it in place. Figure 1 shows the start, and the sticky dot roll can be seen in Figure4.
The pics show the change.

That looks good, and appears to be reversible should you wish to revert to steel.
I like your loco hold-down! I'm planning to build some loco boxes, and I'm going to pinch that idea .
