Hi Chaps
Im after a bit of advice. I have got meself another switch decoder and want to program this. So I have connected this to a set up piece of track to program it. Now as I ave one switch decoder already in situ and the outputs are numbered 1 to 4, I want this one to give outputs 5 to 8. So i go onto CV32 and input number 5, then 6, 7 & 8. At this point I have a point motor connected to out put 5. My problem is that only the first output changes. The other three outputs dont output. What Im I doing wrong. ????
PS not to tecinal here, so keep it simples.
Thanks.

You only need to set No 5. The other three will auto set to 6,7 and 8. As you say, you need a load on '5' (your switch motor). The other three should now be ready.

Yes, changed 1st one to number 5 with switch motor attached. Got no output on others on 6, 7 & 8, (ie when I move motor across onto output number 6 and select 6 on handset note happens)

Nemo: a load is required when programming Massoth switch decoders, and you must change all four CVs (unlike the LGB decoder where only the first needs to be changed)
Tried that as well, It only changes the first output to the last number I set it to and not all four outputs.

Connect a switch motor to SW1

Set CV2 to 77
Ensure CV29 = 128

then program the switch IDs...

CV 32 =
CV 34 =
CV 36 =
CV 38 =

CVs 31, 33, 35 & 37 should be 0 if your switch addresses are to be less than 256.

Set CV2 to 0

test.

So I program CV
32 to 5
34 to 6
36 to 7 and
38 to 8 then
Is that right.
Im using LGB MTS III with a Massoth Navigator.

Yes!

Not sure if the Massoth decoder is the same as the LGB one, but I had to short out the programming terminals, before I could alter any CVs?

I am assuming that this has been done....

Not necessary for the Massoth Switch decoder.

Thanks Guys and especially Mark, who's advice I followed and it worked. its a pity Massoth don't make it that clear in the instructions, unless Im missing a bit. (most probably the latter).......
