Massoth Navigator F17-f21

Having successfully updated a PIKO 35011 Navigator from version 1.81 to the latest firmware version of 1.92p, courtesy of Massoth.

Whist exploring the menus and features, stumbled over this menu.

Under Navigator Config, down at the bottom of the screen more..., takes you to a option Special Mode, M2 to ok,
under Special Mode are two lines A and B with 1 to 8 .

Special Mode A: A3 needs to be activated, press the number 3.
Special Mode B: My requirements were 1,2,3, and 8

Then press M2 OK, then train to return back to main screen.

Just checked a brand new Massoth 8134501 Navigator, had to set the parameters for the Special Mode, seems by default most of the features require setting up as per the individual user's requirements.

As a newcomer to DCC operation, as opposed to fitting and tweaking mates' decoders, I'd appreciate confirmation of the following.
Piko 35011 navigators and 35012 R/C units are capable of being updated but the 35010 central station isn't.
If I were to have my navigator and R/C units updated I'll be able to take advantage of extra functions, loco illustrations etc. even with my existing central station.

Piko 35011 navigators and 35012 R/C units are capable of being updated, correct they are essentially Massoth equipment under the hood.

The 35010 central station isn't, again correct, this is manufactured by a third party,

If I were to have my navigator and R/C units updated I'll be able to take advantage of extra functions, the vast majority of the enhancements are hardware dependant on a Massoth Central Station.

Loco illustrations, independant of Central Station, so will work on a upgraded PIKO Navigator.
