Massoth automatic control it works

Followig my attempt with npn sensors and a lot of messing around I now have two locos shuttling around the track. May need to move one switch or alter a stopping cv.
So the yellow buttons are now working with regularity
The train enters the station , hit the limit the loco stops and the changes the point, sends the other loco the opposite way, then changes over again:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::nerd::nerd::nerd::bigsmile::bigsmile::bigsmile:

well done phil... :bigsmile::bigsmile::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Re:Massoth automatic control

Takes some getting your head round but it works. No magnets to buy no expensive track switches. no more watching the same train go the same wayall day. So my neck rotates once then it unscrews

Re:Massoth automatic control

Hi Phil

Are you using the feedback module? what are the NPN sensors?

Paul

Re:Massoth automatic control

Hi Paul , NPN senors are a solid state proximity swich. I use 8mm sensing distance . They run on 5-36 volts
( I have used an old phone charger) they "sink" to neutral and form a volt free contact and put them into the massoth feed back unit along with diodes. Bored yet ?:nerd::bigsmile: See my other post NPN sensors

Re:Massoth automatic control

But they can't pass each other on single track.:rolleyes:

The Force is strong with this one.... :admire:

Re:Massoth automatic control

Sounds interesting Phil

Re:Massoth automatic control

I only use it when I am doing other things and don't intend using it all the time. Althoughb it is a good party trick and it a pity to have it and not use it

Put another passing loop in, or make existing ones longer/trains shorter.......

Re:Massoth automatic control

Are we still talking about the train set

Re:Massoth automatic control

I'll leave that to your imagination Steve

Re:Massoth automatic control

Just got in from work. Got 2 locos out ,changed the numbers on the program and away they went.
Very relaxing and not at all dizzy

Re:Massoth automatic control

Tried it tonight Paul was just going to press the button and the navigator nearly fell in the washing up bowl. Anyway the trains ran all the time

:rolf: You can always press a button or two and operate another train(s) Phil

Re:Massoth automatic control

i think you will have to come here on the next open day phil as i think you will be able to advise on my future plans (bows down in deference to superior).:bigsmile:

Re:Massoth automatic control

It's like computer control, you don't want to use it all the time but it's good to just see that you can

Re:Massoth automatic control

Exactly Paul

wont be till august phill

Been somewhat delayed due to work so I videoed it to night
Sequence of events
First train enters te station hits the sensor and stops. The other train starts in the opposite direction, completes the circuit and re enters the stationand the sequence starts again
To get to the stage takes a bit on doing.

Will try and video it tomorrow or Friday
