Hi my friend has brought a new red and black starter set stainz, wheel spin occurs when the loco is pulling 3 or more wagons, extra weight has been added but it still slips and has no way near the pulling power of a green stainz, has anyone else has this problem and does anyone know why it occurs? Thanks Sam

It may have sticking skates that are effectively lifting the wheels. A tiny dot of oil in the slides may help or take off the base plate and check the skates move up and down smoothly - even when pushed forwards or arft (as they would be when running)

I have the same loco and yes it does spin wheels if I attach 4 wagons! I have fixed it by adding weights. This loco weighs 1375 g while original green Stainz weighs 2200 g. So if you add weights to reach around 2000 g mark it should work fine.

I have added weights on cab as well as on the boiler. Make sure majority of extra weight falls between 2 axles and not just on the cab.
