Marklin / LGB Couplings

Hi All,

Has anybody changed the Marklin couplings over to LGB couplings please if so how did you go about it as im looking at changing these over,

Sorry but what coupling type you asking about? I would have thought the LGB and Marklin hook and loop are the same, I have a couple of Marklin locs with hook and loop and can see no reason to swop. But you must have a reason?

Yes thinking a bit more he could be talking Gauge 1 rather than G scale. If so that then makes it a rather more involved answer me thinks.

Hi, I do apologise it most likely is gauge 1 ?, its the Marklin 54990 set of crane and runner they have done, the coupling looks similar to the N gauge rapido couplings.

Yes that is a gauge 1 so change may not be a simple process, Indo not have any Marklin Gauge 1 items so am unable to help.

The problem is most of us have never seen a Marklin spur 1 model in the flesh..

So without pictures, it is a little difficult.

Whether any of our European members can comment, I am not sure.?

Nothing is impossible without some metal and a bit of ingenuity, but as Phillip says without a picture or two of the mounting I cannot even make a stab at a suggestion.
