Lynton & Barnstaple madness?

Just got off eBay. There's a nice looking model of L&B's "EXE" still at the start bid of £24 - 4 days to go. Doesn't have many technical details or maker, however. Then further on someone's gone £94 on an L&B bogie goods brake - is that not a bit high?

Yes, I had my eye on Exe, is it an Aristocraft model ? A pair of L&B scratchbuilt bogie coaches by the same seller that are around £20 each at the moment to go with it.

Exe is a bit scratched and the seller says 'well used' so may well be just about worn out, but would make a good repaint opportunity if it stays cheap.

Well in answer to a question the seller states that it has an LGB chassis, this would suggest a scratch or kit built body on an LGB mechanism.

Might it be a GRS kit?

It is a GRS plastic model which used an LGB chassis.

The chassis is the HF130 diesel, plus the connecting rod is identical. Alyn
