Got this Stainz, with this LS chip in it. The number relates to a diesel but has been reprogrammed d by one of our Dealer's.

Oh Dear me !Problem is it runs nice and slow, speeds up to top speed nice ;D

However ------------ when put into reverse the sound lasts for about a second then it stops >:(

Your thoughts Please

Bin it ;)

Only joking Phil sorry

Your help has been noted, Ta very much..

It isn't mine or else it would be.

Option 2 Blame Fred ?

It certainly sounds (no pun intended) to be faulty.... can it be returned to wherever purchased?

Jon.

Sussed it out guys ! The rearlight and socket causing short. Thanks anyway.

Jon , No it is six years old

Always a pleasure to help Phil :P

Good troubleshooting, well done for finding the problem! :)
Hopefully the shorting has caused no permanent damage to the decoder?

A couple of years back, due to a momentary inattention when connecting the track power and motor wires resulting in wrong wires to two pins (and then not re-checking before applying power) I managed to completely fry the driving stage of an LS - though the sound still works fine, so I guess I can use it as a sound chip in something instead of an S.... ;)
