The green loco may be inspired by the Bipolar locos.

You could be right, though my first thought was the GG1 which of course has been made by LGB and USA Trains. How about one of these Willy?

Does a Bipolar engine have a happy end, and a sad end!?
:):(:giggle::giggle::giggle:
I have bipolar disorder and trust me, there is nothing happy or sad about it. :shake:
There again, I don't look like the green loco :whew:

Way to big for my layout , en tooooooo EXPENSIF :)

Can't do anything about the cost.. But if LGB it will go round R1 curves.. - It may well look silly, and side-swipe the scenery, but will go round the curve.

Well i love them both .. in my eyes its just to show people the fiarety of trains , and i dont need , or can affort these kind of moddels , i like Items witch need a second life , ore TLC :).
Part for the children , part for showing .
I hope to own someday a real steampunk loco , in the UK is a man who realy build nice Steampunk loco,s

I think VSmith made a similar looking loco a while back, converting the bodyshell from a plastic toy and putting it on a suitable g scale chassis. Had a quick look, but I can't find the thread, hopefully I'm not imagining it.

Vic?

Well even a orignal model woald be nice , fitting a LGB ore Piko bast G scale is not the problem .
Try to find a chaep model is the problem , even broken is way expensif .. an OLD one even more , more then the new model 2016

Definitely a model of the Milwaukee Road Bi-Polar electric locomotive. MTH makes some beautiful reproductions.

Wel the Model of MTH is olmost the same , but in my eyes , it does,nt have the magic of the lionel super 381, by the way way,s 30 pound ,
There is a second model with is popular in amrika , the super 381 brute , ways 50 poumds and in length 7.1 cm

In this video you see the differents :

In the 'start' picture of the second video..
I initially thought 'Whoa! That short green and cream coach is way too tall!' .. .. Then I realised it is a building in the background. ;):rolleyes:

Yeah, I've never found a satisfactory explanation for the bi-polar locos - in electrical terms, what is it?

I mean, you could also ask the same question about its looks :D:D
