What is the name of these boogies?
Maybe ars they ready made available?

This LGB motor block is not dissimilar, from LGB 20380 street car. I don't have one to give you dimensions.
But I may be missing the point.

"Unobtainium" has been a standard in the Sci-Fi sphere for some time.... along with "Handwavium" for something that breaks the known laws of physics in order to further a plot point, with little or no attempt to explain it....

Perhaps it is from Company B or hiding in the shadows under the bed.

Jokes aside, the Bachmann street car bogie is very similar to the LGB street car bogie above but they are both very different to the OP's drawing.
The OP's bogie drawing does not have the coil springs bearing directly on each axle journal but still near them and the lower leaf springs run perpendicular to the car length instead of with it.

The Bachmann Big Hauler coach bogies although different looking at first glance are of a similar design.
For a budget approach with some cutting, filing and some added styrene sheet shapes glued over, you could end up with something similar looking although not exact.

this is a Bogie from a REA Coach which is similar but not quite the same. Might be worth a close look at the LGB US Coaches that have a similar Bogie that should be easier sourced for you Henri. Oh and the above Bogie is on this which is I think similar to a couple that Jimmy sourced at Exeter Show recently.

An interesting bogie/truck. The Aristocraft FA1 diesel is a cousin - I picked up a couple of sideframes on eBay a while ago (and would sell them if you are interested but not until May.)



The other piece of info I can offer is that the Brill trolleys in the US have a similar truck.

Aha. Bachmann make a Peter Witt trolley, and the parts dept has this truck listed.



I would also investigate the Aristocraft PCC trolley. Someone who has one can probably post a photo of the truck.

A poor picture but you can just about make out how different the PCC truck is to anyother tram bogie. Resilient wheels were one of the main features on the full size cars.

My dad has taken on the project. As we need at least 16 of them, his plan is to make one prototype and cast them in resin.

I think he used 1/20 in stead of 1/22,5. Still in design phase, so errors are corrected easily.

I though about Resin Casting for the side-frames on my Harz PM Railcar. Decided against it due to the difficulties of getting the Axle Holes right, the Axles need to go into the correct place. But if they are only Cosmetic as on a Coach (or two by the sounds of it) that may be less of an issue.
