Mike
I'm surprised that, after more than 22 hours, and with 78 "views", you haven't been inundated with offers! I thought that Matra cranes were commonplace (because of their inclusion, once upon a time, in freight starter sets).
I've braved the sub-zero temperatures in my garage and, on my second foray, have located a Matra crane in yellow that I could be persuaded to part with! It's a little dusty but, as far as I can see, the only missing part is one of the couplings (that I can easily replace before sale).
Do you want to send me a PM with the sort of price you were expecting to pay?
Most of my freight rolling stock are anglicised conversions from LGB ToyTrain wagons. Now that I look at the wagons in my "still to be converted" box, I find that a surprising number of them have bodies moulded in the same orangey-yellow plastic (though not quite as matt) as the Matra, and might be of interest to complete your maintenance train. Mainly new and unused I have:-
[*]deep open wagons (same shape as 41060 ** ) in yellow with either "DB" (from set 90125 ** I think) or "Short Island R.R." (from set 90785 ** I think) markings[*]shallow open wagons (same shape as 40055 **) in yellow with "DR" markings (from set 90432 ** I think)[*]flat wagons with yellow deck and end railing (item 94003 ** but without the container) I also have a ToyTrain crane in yellow (94042 **) that I have no immediate plans for! I even think I've got the original box up in the loft for this one.
Send me a PM if anything here is of interest.
I will be at the G Scale Society show in Stafford the weekend after next. If you are too, and we can agree in advance what you want, we could save the cost (and the risk) of using the Royal Mail!
Best wishes
David
