Been lurking on the new forum for a while - time for my first post!!
A question for the couple of locobox garratt owners I know are around on the forum.
How is the rather plain smokedoor attached? I have removed the screw in the centre of the 'door' but I am not sure exactly what it fixes to. Shining a torch down the chimney reveals no securing bar that I can see but the 'door' remains firmly attached.
In trying to make up a nicer looking door I am keen to remove the current door but don't want to damage anything in forcing it off.
