It's roughly an hourly train service from Chester or Shrewsbury to Ruabon and an half hour bus service (Arriva) from Ruabon to Llangollen. Is this easy to get to by Public Transport?

If I remember correctly, the bus stop is about 200 yards at the bottom of the approach road for Ruabon Station.
At Llangollen, the best bus stop to get off/on is After the Ponsonby Arms, before the bus turns over the river by the LRS station and the Bridge end pub. the Eisteddfod pavilion is about half a mile from the town centre,
walk straight ahead, keeping the station and river on your left hand side.
I'll be in at 10am - scouting for a 2-10-2 - even bringing the extra suitcase! To avoid any disappointment on missing any bargains, I will not go round till after 11am...so buy a online ticket..get in before the rest ..grab the bargins
