Hi,

I'm looking for a set of blueprints or schematics to build a simple locomotive - i.e. 0-4-0 or -0-6-0. I do plan on scratchbiulding the entire thing. Any recommendations?

Well, if 16 mm scale narrow gauge UK/Colonial outline is your thing the a good starting point might be here

Or you could go down the route that some do and incorporate parts from one of the established manufacturers like Roundhouse http://www.roundhouse-eng.com/ into your final project, like boilers, motions, cylinder/valves, etc' - avoids the unknown knowns in such an enterprise.

It all come down to what floats your boat, or boiler. Max

Peter Jones did a small book Garden Railways No.4 on building an 0-4-0 that he called Dacre. I think he predominantlynused Roundhouse Parts.
