Hey Mike, if you don't find the sound cars you're looking for, there might be another option with a little bit of work - I think there are several under-baseboard sound systems made for smaller scale layouts which have a variety of selectable "background sounds" including livestock noises - might be worth investigating these, I'm sure that with a little ingenuity and a battery power supply one could be converted to fit in a regular G-scale stock car?

I think that Noch make them, among others?

Yes I have investigated these and I have got a line on two stand alone sound modules with pretty good sounds that can be rigged up. but the reason for me trying to get hold of the LGB variety is that the sound boards in them have an 'auto' sound start with movement or nudging of the cars!
I can access LGB jobbies then work done!

Have you tried German eBay (eBay.de) for them, Mike? A VERY much larger selection of LGB than UK eBay, and I've bought successfully from it a number of times, postage is usually reasonable too. What are the model numbers of the cars you're looking for?

Oh yes Jon. I have tried all ebays and there are some cattle sound cars in Germany or US ebay but with the shipping and the prices I was hoping that there might be some over here!
