Hi,
with the demise of All Aboard Hobbies where does one buy LGB track pieces other than Australian ebay (listings tend to be UK or US) ?

I know of trains for the garden, but are there any other vendors that people use? Google really doesnt show up that many.

TIA

Thanks Monty,
Yeah i tried to order from Model Trains and RC Cars earlier today but I think there is an issue with his Shopping Cart… tried to charge me $112 shipping to Perth for 2x 600mm pieces ….
Have got a query into him..

Cheers

Not australian , but I bought new lgb points cheaper through amazon ( cheaper than all aboard 30% of sale) including shipping , and amazingly took the 3 days longer to get here as a peco code 250 point took to come from a hobby shop in melbourne .

Kevin at airport west hobbies has shut his shop down , but is selling stock he has stored at home , I got a wagon and truck off him the other week. It took a week to get hold of him, many phone calls till he answered . Contact him before ordering he doesn't have all the stock listed on his website . His website over charged me for shipping , he refunded me difference later on, again after a fair wait. He isn't timely on responding , but I did get everything I ordered .

Ah ok then, thanks for the heads up.

Looks like i might need to stock up a bit. Am no where near ready to extend my layout but if I wait too long i could miss out if more suppliers shut up.

Cheers

MalOz, I have an order in with Gary at Gscale model train sales Australia on Facebook, he specializes in selling Estate collections, and has just received a
LARGE delivery of one which looked like mostly rolling stock though.. here's a link to video of collection  OOPS didn't work..., He said it filled a 3 tonne van...

Onlytrains and Trainworld the last two times I bought quantity. It was cheaper to use a freight forwarder each time (I seem to recall Onlytrains would not ship to Oz. That and Amazon which also sells cheaper and delivered faster with a Prime account.

I bought this fairly recently from OnlyTrains due to AllAboard not having it in stock, used normal postage and was only just a little dearer than advertised price out here.
Have used them on and off over the last few years and found their service brilliant.

As you are in Perth (as I am), have you been to Mayland Models? I've bought LGB track from them - brand new and second hand.

Hi L LGeoB ,
Saw them mentioned in a post some time ago, they had a minimalist web presence then but have mislaid the details.
Is it still the same?
Cheers, Ian

Very much a bricks and mortar shop. Best to visit them to see what they have. A real treasure trove of a shop!

That would be nice as I love that sort of shop, but it's a bit far from where I live for a quick look. Might give them a ring.
Thanks, Ian

Aristocraft got their track from China, and I assume USA trains did also. Would China for our Australia friends get better shipping prices from China? Just a question.

Found this supplier in one of the NZ garden Rail magazines in a post on another thread, seems to have some G stuff.
