I wondered if any of you would be interested in seeing the conversion I have just completed on an LGB shunter?
I got the basic toytrain loco from Dragon G scale a couple of years ago and started the conversion a few months ago. This was supposed to be a quick conversion, but I later realised there was a bit more to do than I first thought after starting on it. It has new dummy frames and buffer beams bolted to the original frames and beam casting, and also new side valences to widen it a bit and make the gap between the wheels and footplate appear less.
Loco is powered by 12 aa eneloop type batteries with a Viper ESC and cheap 2.4 Ghz transmitter and receiver. It ran for 5 1/2 hours today when I had to stop after the transmitter batteries ran out of charge.
