lgb santa fe 1217 sound ?

Hi can i ask the more experienced about lgb i have a santa fe 1217 at&sf train and coal tender it says direct contorler underneath the train
there is a wire that pushes in to the tender and train i had a little go of it yesterday and the lights work fine and the train runs great just i was expecting sound but nothing can anyone help as to does this have sound or not

I think that the locos of this type intended to be sold separately had sound, but only some versions of those supplied as part of a set had sound.
A quick glance at the webpage below only shows the Santa Fe version as part of a non-sound set.
Mind you it also shows products that were under developement when LGB went belly up and still haven't been released.
