Evening all starting up the layout this spring I have found locos moving off with no control on both sides of the layout, have tried using the knock type as well, that doesn't work on wireless, on wire locos run wide any ideas please Les
 
Les, if it's just the wireless that's misbehaving, there's a good chance that you're getting interference from another wireless device. Common sources are wi-fi routers, cordless phones, wireless CCTV cameras. If you or any of your neighbours have acquired any new kit that is wireless in its operation, it's possible that it is giving you grief.

Morning I have cordless phone in the bungalow its on all the time, the lappy is also cordless but is not on all the time, the 3 CCTV cameras are wired the tv sets are in the garage and are on sometimes, I have no idea about next door Les

Morning all I went over to see Keith (son) he pointed out that I have a road behind the garden and my aerol is only 4/5 ft away from it, it is quite busy(for a small town) with plenty of folk going to and from 4 estates, I moved the aerol into the garage but I could still move locos around the garden, I was 25/30 ft from the unit so I guess I can't win Les

Evening all I have bought off ebay another buttom controller and will remove the wireless unit and sell the dial controller and the wireless bits as I won't be using them pity Thanks for your help Les

Evening all I have now got the above can I use both from the central station as long as I don't use the same no, or can I try again with one on wireless and the other on wire Les
