I think that is an excellent price, especially as it appears new and unused.

The only other one I can find is in Germany at Euro 499!

I'd say its a fair price if you want one. Google reckon its astronomical, however :

it would seem to me that its an excellent price
they sell for around 300+ in the US -i have seen them much higher from some shops-it is a specialty item, not long produced and out of production.
these seem to always sell for at least the same price as a two tram set, even though theres only the maintenance platform and a single tram.
given the aussie dollar, shipping, duties -thats a steal imho
