LGB LCE into DSB ICE 3

Purchased an LCE that was in bad shape. Damaged and faded decals. I decided to create Denmarks DSB ICE 3. I used automotive vinyl pinstripe material and and a Cricut Joy vinyl cutting machine to design and cut the new decals. Still not finished, I still have to add the lighting and lenses.

That looks really good, I'm using LCE coaches in bad conditions for my trams. Can you tell me how you removed the old decals, please?

I used a heat gun on a low setting to remove the striping and window decals. There will be adhesive residue left, you can try rubbing alcohol to get the residue off or you can find a product called "Goo Gone" but make sure it states that it's safe on plastics ( there is a version that is not). The doors are clear stickers and you can remove them with a rag full of rubbing alcohol. When you get everything removed just go over it with a rag with a little bit of rubbing alcohol to clean the surface off.

Great job Mike. I have a few ICE & LCE sets in need of some refreshing. I have one of the conversion kits to produce a diesel version somewhere - roof grilles, fans etc.

I have seen those conversion kits in the past. Most of my LCE'S have been customized to say ICE, I even have 2 custom ICE 2s'
