LGB bogie and 2 axle coaches - Austrian prototypes...

Re:LGB 2 axle coaches and wagons European prototypes...

Bazzer - I've got the hopper and yes you do get stung for import duty. It added another 20% on top of what I paid Paul (minimans). Send him a PM - he probably won't see this...

Back on topic - I'm still on the look out thanks guys :)

Re:LGB 2 axle coaches and wagons European prototypes...

Thanks James (should have added if you haven't booked them, I do have some manners) - it comes as a shock the first time you get hit with duty, somehow my first import got through scot free so let's go bigger! I think I'll follow the good advice and follow ebay.de with fixed prices in mind all the time.

Ask anyone out there for a coach 3008 this should give you a green & cream austrian 4w coach. The kind of coach which run on the railway from bad ischel to Mondsee.

There are Two RHB with the connetions at Chalk in Greavesend and a Murtal bahn blue & cream. Not cheap second hand, but original stock.

Can you not buy the orange & cream OBB version or a new Marklin Brown one for your conversion. You don't state which colour. There are all over green or the green & cream which come up.

Re:LGB 2 axle coaches and wagons European prototypes...

Yes Andy (jimmytrains) - thanks for the tip off... I'm after ANY of the bogie coaches in that style as they'll be repainted anyway - I'd not seen that 4W before, it's the right body style but again I'll be repainting :)

Is that Chalk Garden Rail in Gravesend? How much (roughly) as the Marklin OBB one seem to be about £160ish - which at the moment can't be justified - hence looking for some second hand.

Hi minimans your reputation as an all round egg seems proven. Having sorted Syd with some geeps I'm cash rich - are the hopper and gondolas(is that the green open wagon just visible??) still available?
Does anybody know whether I will get stung for import duties?

Yes I still have a few to sell I'll try to get some pictures of what I have and post them on the for sale section...........but not today I'm still a bit stretched for time right now!!
There are no import duties on toy trains but you do have to pay VAT and the post office charges a fee for delivery your end (Even though I've paid the postage this end!)

Grootspoor have a couple of 2nd hand ones listed at 79 Euro's (around £68). Postage from them to UK is around £19.

You'll need a Paypal account to order online from them.

Re:LGB 2 axle coaches and wagons European prototypes...

Still not found what I'm looking for... PM me if you've got bogie or 2 axle LGB coaches that you'd fancy passing on to a new home.

Re:LGB 2 axle coaches and wagons European prototypes...

Despite a few leads, I'm still really keen to find something. Are there any members of the forum interested in selling on coaches of either these styles?

I'm also interested in any 4 wheel vans or post vans.

The delivery is included Paul - they use the excuse of a Customs Entry/Documentation fee.

Is the obb box car with an end platform yours or a stock photo?
if you own this waggon i'd keep it in original condition.

Re:LGB 2 axle coaches and wagons European prototypes...

James, this spring I need to clean out quite a few pax cars, if you are interested, they will be priced right.

The only catch is, they are in the US.....

Well I've found two sources of the bogie coaches, awaiting on an answer from one of them - I'm struggling to raise all the cash for them though - so is it bogie or 2-axle coaches you're selling?

No I don't, it was an example of the van I'm interested in... I want to create a more realistic OBB goods/brake/parcel van sometime this year - don't mind what the base model is though!
