LGB 55028 DCC Driving/Function Decoder - F1 Voltage

Hi - I want to increase the output voltage on a customer's installed 55028 DCC decoder in his LGB 20180 DR Steamer locomotive. But I can't find any guidance on what CVs to use for adjusting the output voltage for F1 or F2 terminals voltage outputs. Anyone know how to do it on these older DCC decoders?

The information is in the 'technical' document that is alluded to in the 'simple' manual..

But I think we need someone to go to the German original, to decipher things a little?
They went super-technical, and you can do all the fancy things, like trigger on a rising, or falling, edge. Different for forwards and reverse, etc.
It means there are three CV's (depending how you do things) per function output.

Got me thinking now..

I wonder if any of this correlates with the Massoth 27 pin offering?

We have to remember that LGB DCC, does not = Massoth these days.

PhilP - Thanks for the document..........I'll review it to find the dimming CVs..........very difficult to understand. I had downloaded the LGB 55028 User Guide but didn't see anything about dimming of voltage for AUX 1 or AUX 2. And I had already looked at the Massoth 27 Pin sound decoder and it's totally different than the LGB/Marklin 55028 decoder. Interestingly, the LGB 55028 User Guide doesn't show any adjustment for sounds so I thought it was only a Driving/Function decoder. But the document you posted shows adjustments for sounds. And the LGB 20180 locomotive has a speaker I can see on the rear underside but I get no sound from the locomotive on the track........the original owner is deceased who installed the decoder into it. So, I'm wondering if the prior owner had actually installed the LGB 55029 MSD3 mfx/dcc/dc sound decoder instead of the 55028 decoder.

Guess I'm going to have to disassemble the locomotive to find out what's in there. Part of the reason I wanted to increase the voltage on the F1 smoker terminal, if it's indeed a 55028, is the smoker isn't working too well and I thought adding some more voltage might do the trick. Also, the smoker doesn't come out fully so I can't change it nor check the output voltage of the wires. Another reason I'll probably have to disassemble this little baby to find out what decoder is in it and also change out the smoke generator. And if it doesn't have a sound decoder in it, I'll want to add sound to it for increased resell value.

Okay, I opened up the locomotive and found the original owner had installed a Massoth XLS-1M DCC sound decoder, not the LGB 55028 Driving/Function Decoder. The XLS-1M seems to be defective, can't get any sound output. I connected another speaker to confirm it's not a defective speaker. So I'll try to update the decoder's firmware and reinstall a sound file using the Massoth Service Tool. I'll let you know if I am able to get the sound decoder to work or not. If not, I'll just reinstall the original analog board into the circuit board and post it for sale as a DC analog, no sound, locomotive.

Okay, the Massoth XLS-1M DCC sound decoder is defective........no sounds produced after updating the decoder's firmware and installing a new Spreewald sound file into it.
