Ok so I have acquired an LGB 92090 and installed a 55021 decoder. And it goes like the clappers - too fast in fact. So I want to throttle it in which I presume is by changing CV55 to something less than 255. I set it to 128 and now it's top speed is way less than half which is not the result I expected. Which leads me to my question is the scale for CV55 linear or logarithmic? If it is a log scale does anyone have a graph showing the value of the voltage for all values of CV 55 between 1 and 255?

thanks

Nigel

Presumably you mean CV 5 to control the max speed. Isn't CV 55 the one to reset to factory values?

I've no experience of this decoder but with most of the decoders I've used the scale is a lot more linear than logarithmic but never perfectly linear. Best just to try values untill you get what you want.

Edit: Sorry seem my reply seems to have crossed with Gizzy's in the ether.

If you are using the LGB 55040 PC Programmer with MTS-PC 6.0 software, you can view and adjust the speed curve as can be seen in this screenshot....

Yes I did mean CV5 - finger trouble. Now I know it's more linear I'll have a play around
